I love this restaurant. It’s clean (they take pride) and it has such a chill vibe. I really enjoy their food as well. The employees are alway's polite and attentive. I love that the kitchen is pretty much open and you can see the chefs doing their magic. I also love that they have a condiment bar with all the fixings. When entering the establishment the sports bar is what greets you, everyone is happy and laughing but it’s always low key, jukebox playing in the background. Past the bar is the restaurant portion. The burger was good. I'll give them that. I found this place in some kind of list of the best burgers in Phoenix. If you haven't been here before, it's sort of a self service thing with a condiment bar. You order a burger with just the basics or with some premium toppings on it and then walk it over to the condiment bar and load up. I saw the size of the condiment bar in the pictures and was very impressed. In reality, there are only about 6 or 7 options that are repeated to allow for multiple people to use at once. Great place if you are looking for a hamburger with all the grill/charcoal flavor, they grill the burgers in front of you, good variety of sizes and their toppings/salad bar is huge, they have a bar area for you to enjoy games and more, I will give them a higher rank but their service needs to improve, we asked the guy at the cashier... hey, what are arizona fries? He said... just fries with a non great tone, we didn't allow him to ruin our experience, and we continued... I highly recommend the chesse burger with 1/4 meat, the simple the better.
The burgers have been dry and over cooked lately. I love hamburger works we’ve been coming here for over 10 years and I hate to say anything bad about a local restaurant but they really need to retrain their cooks. They are over cooking the meat and when I tell them I want my burger medium well they never listen it’s still really dry it wasn’t like this before I believe it’s because there are different cooks now. Sat in bar area, service bad. Bartender was to busy socialize with his regulars. We menus and ordered, never came back to see of wanted a drink, had to ask for check a few times, had to take it back to him to pay and it was not a busy night. Out of chili and was told after order was placed. Not a good visit. We have been here several times and tonight makes me question going back.
