Westside Market has been a staple of Cape May for as long as I can remember, you could always count on fresh meats with an actual butcher on hand, a great deli selection of meats, cheeses, and salads, hoagies, outstanding cheesesteaks and other favorites from the grill, and fresh baked goods including their brownies that I always had to grab one of. Not only that, they also carried a selection of grocery and convenience items and cold bottled drinks as well. Westside Market has always been a great little one stop market and grill that really takes you back to the old days, from the historic pictures and items on the walls to the historical feel of the building itself. I enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger on a hoagie, served with fresh salad, tomatoes, onions, and a delightful mix of mustard, mayo, and ketchup. The beef was perfectly charred on the outside while remaining tender and pink inside, bringing back fond memories of the cheeseburger subs from my youth. The quality of the ingredients and the service were both excellent. My wife, who grew up in Villas, especially loves the cheesesteak hoagie. I was fortunate to live closer to this great spot!
I absolutely love this place! The new owners, Chris and Kristin, have done an amazing job renovating the market. It has a wonderful hometown vibe and a fantastic deli! They offer the best flatbread pizzas, with a new flavor each week. We've enjoyed one every week for the past several weeks and have grilled them for a quick and easy dinner after a day at the beach. It's also very dog-friendly. Our dog, Bailey, loves our walks to the market!
The new owner/management team has taken this place to a whole new level. Best breakfast sandwich (yes, BREAKFAST sandwich) I have ever eaten. The fresh, hand made breakfast sausage patty on a mini cheese omelet was above anything I have ever eaten. Serious. Réservez une table maintenant
