what a hidden gem! I was on this restaurant when I was looking for a restaurant last minute at mayfair. eating is absolutely extraordinary and the service is just as good. I had the lobster ray followed by the seabass were both delicately prepared and burst with taste. this was paired with a beautiful assyrtiko from santorini and followed by a fantastic apple crumb that was perfectly paired with a uraguayan dessertrot in the taste direction (not too sweet). I can't recommend this place very much and hope that they can successfully capture the elusive star this year. in any case one of the best spots I have to do in the last two years.
We chose the eight course tasting menu at Ormer to celebrate a special occasion; and it did not disappoint! Both the food and the service was absolutely fantastic. Such a memorable experience. We did not pair the courses with wine as we are light drinkers, but still, the sommelier asked us what what type of wine we generally enjoy, and made a recommendation of wine by the glass to enjoy throughout the meal. We will definitely return for celebration meals in the future. Absolutely incredible food.
I was initially comprehensible about this restaurant after being invited by friends to dinner. my preference is for pure eating and have looked at the menu online I was not sure it fits me. I was wrong! I have to say this was one of the best meal I had. all over the evening from the exquisite kitchen, the impeccable service and the ambiente in the bar before dinner was simply perfect. I can't get enough of it and I'm looking forward to a return visit.
it really won't be much better than Ormer. they start with a glass of champagne and are pampered throughout their evening meal. for my entree, I decided for the lobster that is served under a glass of egg smoke, the so delicately tasty dish. perfectly prepared, and I think the best I had. while the menu is heavy with seafood, I can understand that they can also request vegetarian and vegan options.
