still good. we visited here a lot when we lived in york, both the “old place” and the newer ones where he is still today. when I was hoping that it was still good, I went to lunch with the family shopping and wandering around the city. Despite the school holidays and in the regular busy in all york we were happy enough to get a table without waiting. still the same old menu as I remember what is not bad! we had all the burgers, the portions are still as large as they were visiting the last, still as delicious as I remember. the service was good, all were very full!

One tip: avoid sitting by the door on cold or windy days, as it felt like being in a blizzard every time it opened.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic, with one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The starters are delicious. The staff really make the experience special, as they are so accommodating, attentive, friendly, and welcoming. This place is a hidden gem in York. Our server Molly was particularly lovely.
We visited Ocars yesterday- Awesome experience. Service was impeccable, food excellent and beer hit the spot too. When in York we always dine at Ocars and our visit met our typical expectation and exceeded this!! Thanks to the guy and girl who served us, we were the 8.15 booking with table in the small room, thank you!!

The restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food and a perfect location. The staff was friendly and the portions were generous. We went around 9 o'clock on a Sunday with the family and the happy hour was a great bonus.
Lovely cosy pub/restaurant with a good choice of food. We had the chicken gyros and they were super tasty. Service was polite and friendly. Very comfy seats and a lovely lunchtime

excellent eating! I had the dirty chickenburger and it was incredibly delicious. the personal was super friendly and the decorations are beautiful
