We got the calamari for an appetizer. I think the peppers were not necessary but whatever. The calamari rings were standard fare and the whole squid pieces were heavily battered. The remoulade was very similar to the one at OSO early. No big deal. The fish cakes were good and were not overly dense with breading. The gumbo was a succotash style with tomatoes okra and spicy sausage. Now let?s get to the good stuff. Sautéed crab claws. The biggest I think I?ve ever seen. And what I guessed was a homemade beurre blanc with fresh real minced garlic obviously not from a jar. Awesome toasted and buttered soft French bread. This dish is a must. But it got better. Checked out this joint as it was nearby our Airbnb during our stay in OB. It has a great back porch that opens up on the bay and marina. I had wings that were smoked then flash fried and were really good! Drinks are good and the painkiller seems the strongest. Bartenders and waitresses were very friendly and easy to talk to. My bartender was called Moonshine, great attitude and cool guy! Would visit again.
Sat at the outside bar, wonderful service, took the recommendation of grouper sandwich. Doesn?t need the top half of the bun, for a lunch, you get plenty of French fries. But I bet if you stay and enjoy the view with a few beverages that top half comes in handy! Great sandwich, good value, awesome service!
We absolutely love this place! It's been on our list of places to eat the past two times we've visited the area. The food is delicious and service is great. The tuna bowl is amazing. The fish tacos and gumbo are fabulous as well. If it's warm enough definitely sit outside.
