Its my second visit to this osteria that actually would classify higher than just that. They offer a wide range of italian...food , the usual starters, pasta and even pizza. The pizzas I haven't tasted but they are huge and look very tasty. My suggestion is to go with their specials. Today I did order a European sea bass in crosta di sale , which is the whole fish baked covered in a thick crust of coarse sea salt. Am Samstag Mittag hier essen gegangen. Die Preise sind recht ambitioniert-wir wurden aber nicht enttäuscht. Das Schwertfiscarpaccio als Vorspeise war schön angerichtet und hat uns gut geschmeckt. Die Steinpilzravioli haben uns auch überzeugt und waren hausgemacht. Die Miesmuscheln an Weissweinsauce waren etwas verkocht aber zusammen mit dem Toastbrot haben sie mir gut geschmeckt. Enttäuscht waren wir vom Panna Cotta, dieses hätte fast kein Geschmack und war zu gelatinenhaltig. Die Hausgemachte Eistorte war wieder gut. We come back regularly to the Osteria, as it offers great food and service at very reasonable prices. If the weather is fine, a table outside in the very middle of the city is of course the most logical choice, but we had to eat...inside once and we've found the place very clean and modern. Pizzas are among the best ones I've eaten outside Italy, but everything else, from starters to desserts is just perfect. Everytime we've been there the place was full, but most of the times they've been anyway quick, plus they're super friendly and nice. The only reason for us to eat somewhere else in Waldshut is because they have no place
After being to Osteria Ars Vivendi for a few times I can confirm the great food we had there the first time wasn't a fluke. Everything we tried was delicious, but I reserve a special spot for the Suppa di Pesce: literally the best fish...soup I ever had, with a mix of different kinds of fish and prawn, delicious toast and a creamy consistence it's always a treat. Pizzas are also especially good as is pasta. The service was also great every single time, though I should mention that we always sit upstairs, inside. All in all a great place to eat in the nice historical city center.

We are repeat guest at the Osteria which serves the best Food in town. Consistent high quality and in combination with the Gelatteria below an unbeatable offering when it comes to desserts. Typically, a salad easily feeds two. Their home-made pasta are world class...and if you order their vino di casa you get a very decent wine at a very reasonable price. At times, service can be sluggish. And do not forget to book in advance, particularly on weekends.
Small but fine restaurant. With not too big a menu, but absolutely fresh ingredients! The pizza tastes like a wood stove, on the seafood pizza are fresh shells and whole huge carnations. Very friendly staff. We didn't reserve on a Wednesday night, the place would have been booked, but the waiter made it possible that we got a table after about 5 minutes. Great Italian coffee!
I went on the August in and in Switzerland it is a national holiday (like July) so I thought it might be closed but it was not so we went there and everything was amazing.We did not have Pizza so I don't...no what it was like but the soup (tomato)was epic and o.m.g. the pasta must of been one of the best pastas I ever had.It was a good value.
Eine Osteria mit feinem Essen und gutem Wein in der Abendsonne der Piazza Waldshut. Ravioli Ricotta/Steinpilze mit Gorgonzola! Ein Gedicht. Al dente und schön warm und zart würzig. Dazu den feinen Rosato del casa. Molto bene!!! Oder so.
