Lunch nearly directly on the lake shore under the shady trees. Delicious, authentic cuisine and friendly service by the owner and her nice helper. Was happy not to be welcomed in German ! as is customary in Ticino and see customers were mainly locals. We had fresh perch from the lake with delicious vegetables. We loved our meal! ! You have to park a few meters away and walk as it is on Riva Piana, a gorgeous shady lakeside walk, but spoilt by loads of cyclists zooming along supposedly at walking pace...
This is another eatery that is just a block from my home, and a friend visiting from the USA was here recently, and rather than heat up the kitchen cooking, we went to Osteria La Riva. We both had pasta dishes that were delicious, but next time I'll have a salad and split the entrée because the portions were generous, far more than either of us could eat.
Zum wiederholten Male besuchten wir bei einem Aufenthalt im Tessin abends diese etwas abseits vom Rummel in Locarno, jedoch ebenfalls an der Seepromenade gelegene kleine Osteria. Die freundliche Atmosphäre und die zwar nicht grosse, aber feine Auswahl an Menus behagt uns. Gerne empfehlen wir dieses Lokal weiter.
