Typisches italienisches Essen, viel Auswahl: einfachere, bekanntere aber auch spezielle, gehobenere Gerichte. Auch Vegis finden sehr feine verschiedene Dinge zur Auswahl. Das Essen war aussergewöhnlich gut! Wir hatten die besten Linguine alle Vongole, die wir in Basel bisher gegessen haben. Auch die hausgemachten Capelletti nach Tagesangebot mit Trüffel waren ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Das Dessert ebenfalls super und sehr schön angerichtet.Der Service war einwandfrei, sehr aufmerksam und schnell, dazu sehr freundlich und herzlich, gastfreundlich, humorvolle Bedienung. Man fühlt sich wunderbar aufgehoben. Uns wurde ein sehr feiner Wein aus dem unteren Preissegment der Karte empfohlen.Die Preis...
I've been at Osteria Little Italy several times, alone, with friends and with my wife, the three times I have been satisfied with the whole experience. The food is very good, the selection of wines is also up to standards. The manager is always nice and attentive, and finally is very well located if after dinner you'd like to go for drinks, in the area there are a lot of places to go afterwards. Just one observation, maybe it would be good to hire one more waiter, sometimes the service takes a bit too long, and I believe another pair of hands might be helpful.
we were there to two on a Saturday short vo seven. the local was almost empty, that is hot, the service was quite fast. I had the gazpacho and the pappardelle with wild boar. Unfortunately, the gazpacho was watery and tasted a bit only after adding salt. Spanish dishes should not be tasted 'in Italian'. the pappardelle with wild boarragout were ok and also the strozzapretti of my partner were good averaged. Conclusion: you do not break into energizing towers, but eating is okay to good. prices are appropriate.
The service was attentive without being intrusive with good assistance choosing courses. Main course prices were between CHF24 - 40 with most under 30. One of my colleagues had the sole and while it was cooked whole it was dissembled for him at the table which was mastery in action!Good wine selection.The food arrived at an appropriate time - not rushed but not too long. My wife an I both enjoyed our meals. One of us had a pasta dish while the other had a seafood dish. Both were amazingly delicious. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were spotless. The location is a little removed from the busier parts of the city and was a little difficult to find but we're so glad we didn't give up. It was the favorite restaurants of our trip.
