Otaki Japanese Steakhouse

Very nice place to eat and enjoy! Sunday around 6:30 pm. No reservations and no waiting for a party of 7. Restaurant was not too busy. Lots of seating still available. Nice touch with the decorations on the walls and around the restaurant. Everything looks well organized. I am not a big fan of the seating booths or tables they half, I am not sure how they call them. Depending on how big your group is, you might be splitting the half table with one or two other couples or another group. But we still had a good time. The food was delicious, and the cook was a good entertainment for a some time. He was really good getting us engaged with the food preparation. It was cool! The food he cooked for us was delicious, it was fried rice, vegetables, hibachi, chicken and shrimp. All was really good and fresh. We also had orders of sushi coming in from the inside restaurant kitchen. The restaurant also has a bar inside, from what I saw, it was really stocked up. Lots of choices. Not outside seating! Great restaurant!

Chef Tommy is awesome! So far he is the only hibachi chef that has managed to get my two youngest to relax and enjoy the experience. He also handles requests phenomenally! We may not make it in often but we will always request him! Delicious food with excellent service!

So far, the best sushi and sashimi I have ever had in Jacksonville. Great service from its friendly staff. The place has a very cozy ambiance. I definitely recommend Otaki Japanese Steakhouse.

Sashimi mackerel fresh delicious Alaska roll tasty with added jalapeno. Service prompt courteous the chef ask about mule and we spoke a little bit about other choices. I will be back.

Very good place. Great waiter and wonderful chef. Food was good too!!
