I Placed an online order for One Chirashi and when arrived still had to wait additional 20 minutes for the pick up to be ready. The total time from the moment I placed an order to pick up was a little under one hour.Upon being given my take-out order I realized one block later they had not provided me with soy sauce and also mistakenly Put carrots in my salad when I specifically asked not to.Not a simple thank you from any of the staff instead just give them the bag at the door.This is my first time visiting due to the locals stating that the food is fresh and delicious however this type of service I cannot tolerate so no matter how good the food is I will not be coming back. I have been a customer of otaki for many years. I have been using the doordash app to place orders. Until recently, I discovered that my order with doordash is almost 20% more expensive than on otaki's website. Why are there different prices for the same food? otaki: You deceived your customers, you have lost our trust in you, and you have lost Makoto and credit. We will not patronize you anymore, and I will expose your unethical behavior in the media. (The price on the otaki website is on the Right of the picture, and the price on the doordash app on the Left)
Interesting no one really complains about the food. In fact, my last order was okay. However, a lot of people took their time to comment on their bad service. Several negatives reviews about the waiter(waitress) and the owner. I will update the review based on my next experience (on the food only, as I can't talk about someone I don't know at all) but won't be visiting the restaurant in person for some time. I don't like to get treated badly, especially as a paying customer. No one does.
THIS FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! I loved the cucumber roll and boston roll. The service was amazing . They got my empty plate as soon as I finished it. As soon as I walked in the waitress was very welcoming.
