Although Oto's has been around for a long time, I only recently started shopping there more frequently after my trip to Japan last year. I've discovered some really delicious fresh produce—the organic strawberries, fresh corn, and Japanese sweet potatoes are absolutely amazing. I can't wait to try more! They also have wonderful green tea with red bean mochi, just like what I tasted in Kyoto, and fresh ramen noodles. Their Japanese ceramic tableware is very attractive as well; I picked up some new bowls for ramen, small plates, and dipping dishes. Employee RJ was especially helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous!
A great little friendly neighborhood Asian market. They seem to specialize in Japanese products but they have plenty of other Asian products as well. Prices are a little steeper than other Asian markets but that is the price you pay for convenience. The sashimi is great quality. The parking lot is a little small. The place always seems to be bustling on weekends. Lots of vegetables and snacks and staple foods as well as a little 'home goods ' section for utensils, bowls, and what not.
My original go-to market for Japanese and other Asian ingredients, produce and miscellaneous goods. I find them to be reasonably priced, although maybe more mid tier items than some other Asian markets. Not a huge store, but large enough to carry the staples needed. Definitely recommend them before going to other general grocery stores like Safeway or Raleys.
If you're looking for the freshest fish in Sacramento, this is the spot to visit. The place is always clean and doesn't have the typical fish market smell when you enter. While not everyone can travel to Japan, this is the next best thing! It's also ideal if you're interested in making your own sushi at home. I highly recommend it!

Not your typical grocery store. I've been shopping at Oto's when they were further down the road. They carry many Asian foods and seasonal produce. There is no better quality than what you will find here. Everything from dishes to green tea ice cream. A wonderful shopping experience.
I went yesterday with my mom and sister and I can say that it was very pleasant experience shopping here. Excellent customer service and staff were helpful and very nice. We will continue to come here.
This is a wonderful local Asian market that has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere and a welcoming staff. They offer fresh produce, fish, sushi, and tasty bento lunches that are absolutely delicious!
As far as Japanese food in the Sacramento area goes, this is THE place! You can find virtually all of your favorite Japanese products and cuisine here.

What can I say? I have nothing negative to report. This is definitely the best place to get Saba (mackerel).
