The food at Otto was quite bland and not worth the visit, especially given the high prices that do not reflect the taste of the dishes. It's clear that Otto needs to update their menu. I would suggest that other diners explore different Italian restaurants in Brisbane instead. We had nothing to eat all day except for our meal at Otto, and afterwards, we both experienced severe stomach cramps. We genuinely suspect that the food we consumed at Otto was either not fresh or that the kitchen staff are not adhering to proper hygiene standards in food handling.
We loved the setting by the river and the food and staff was great however it was expensive for the quantities served We went there to celebrate our sons graduation There was a special ambience there I loved the white lamps and white tablecloths . You could see the chefs in the kitchen doing their mastery ! The wine was great but very expensive Our waitress was really lovely and also professional It was $515 for 3 people including x 2 desserts !! Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay top dollar for a special occasion in a special place .
We had a very nice dinner at Otto again but there were a couple of disappointing things... The oysters were a starter but they came after the entrée when the waiter was reminded. We ordered oysters with a lime granita but the granita seemed a bit icy and they were hardly the size you would expect for $6 each. Certainly a small oyster! The spaghettini with lobster were superb, albeit super expensive.
The food was absolutely exceptional. I adored the new tasting menu, and every dish was a testament to the chef's talent. My only suggestion would be for the waitstaff to be a bit more consistent in offering drinks to those who don’t drink wine. The cocktails were outstanding, and we would have ordered more, but maybe they figured we had work the next day! Lol.

Celebratory lunch on our first visit to Otto. Fabulous attentive and informative staff. Excellent choice of food and wine. Scallops as an entree sensational. Both had steaks and would return for these alone! EXCEPT for the Broccolini which we would order by the bucketload next time. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.
It was way too hot at outdoor in summer seasons at outdoor because they opened all the windows for the view. I recommend to go to at night time if you would like to go OTTO Restaurant in summer season.
Absolutely sensational. My wife’s birthday and we were treated exceptionally by all areas of the restaurant. Otto has always been great but this was at another level all together. Thank you
The food was outstanding. We all had a fantastic time; it's truly a wonderful spot to dine with a view of the river.
