Cute little place. Service was lacking. For such a small place I'd expect them to have a better handle on table service. Apps and clam chowder were good. My main and my husband's were the saltiest dishes I've had in a while. Tortellini shouldn't be that hard to get right. We waited 30 mins between being served apps and main. Waiter didn't check on us at all in that time. When we got the mains they were lukewarm. So how long were they sitting in the window before we got them? I hardly post reviews. For the money we spent, I'd suggest going to an actual Italian place. It's sad bc we love to support local businesses. Unfortunately, for the cost I can't justify coming back.
Went here for years Laurie was great, food fresh kept bringing large paritrs to this restaurant until one guy at the bar complained of our conversation and the owner/cook chastised our table and fist pumped this ignorant client at the bar we will never again spend our money at this place that only accepts cash (great way to hide your revenue) we were troeat customets who promoted your business until you humiliated our large party (only table in the restaurant for this one guy at the bar) nice job lots of great restaurants in Rhode Island can’t wait to spend our money there!!
Food was good. Our waiter spent a ton of time talking at another table instead of greeting us and taking our drink order. We hoped that the bartender would come over and take our drink order but she preferred to be on her phone. She did bring us drinks later but had no facial expression and no personality. Food was good enough for us to try it again, but we won't expect much in terms of service.
What wonderful hidden jem nesstled in a quaint neighborhood In Barrington RI. Wonderful Menu that also offers a extensive daily specials the staff is very warm and Pleasant the Bartender was friendly and made an Excellent Dirty Martini I highly recommend the OT experience! Ps my significant other had A Joetini and that has become his go to after dinner cordial Réservez une table maintenant
The Oxford is a great place. Wonderful people. Outstanding food. The “Head in the Cloud” review on thus site is a poorly written diatribe written by a painfully insecure individual with a complete lack of awareness. My aunt and uncle recommended this place to me. I went and the food was out of this world. The seasoning on the food was magnificent. I got the chocolate mousse from the desert menu and this was hands down the best mousse i’ve ever had in my life. This place is one in a million and I highly recommend!
What a gem! Especially the owner : his passion for food and love for fresh ingredients was evident. Incredible dinner: Mozambique stuffed mushrooms, steamers, raviolis with braised beef. And of course the homemade cookies and crème brûlée were to die for. We’ll be back for sure!!
