This is our regular chip shop that we usually enjoy visiting. However, our last experience was not as pleasant. We ordered fish and chips with gravy, as well as sausage and chips. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that the chips were undercooked and tasted starchy. The fish was also overdone. One positive note was that the sausage and gravy were enjoyable. We reached out to the shop with our concerns via email, but have not received a response nearly a week later.
Confirmation code: KMJL Friday 24th May, '24. Really sad to say, we have had fish chips (with mushy peas) quite a few times over the past 3 years, we have a caravan in B. L. S. and it has been a nice treat occasionally, but today they were very disappointing, fish small and over cooked, chips had been kept warm too long and dried out and peas were stodgey and dry. As previously they have been excellent will probably try once more . . . BUT certainly need to improve.
Unfortunately, my favorite fish and chips establishment seemed to have a misstep last night. My wife, granddaughter, and I had a disappointing experience with the haddock and chips. While I probably should have returned them, I will give them another chance next time because typically this is a fantastic place for fish and chips.
This is a good fish and chips restaurant. We only tried it once while we were camping nearby, but the haddock and chips were cooked well and delicious. The prices are fair and the portion sizes are just right. We would definitely go back if we're in the area. Réservez une table maintenant
It's a takeaway so no atmosphere to speak about. We visited on a bank holiday and the size of the fish was small and that's being kind, chips had been on heat for some time and could have been better. Certainly not impressed so won't be calling again.
Loved this cute little chippy. Potato Scollops are so nice, thin potato with heavy batter is just the best way to have them. Curry sauce was bland but apart from that Portion sizes ok too. Price was ok just the same as any other English chippy.
Worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. Chips had zero taste and undercooked, fish more batter than actual fish, mushy peas tastless, curry sauce watery with a very strange taste
Quick service. Expensive. Undercooked fish, batter and chips. No salt and vinegar and curry sauce was somehow terrible. Ordered late so possibly my fault 7.30pm. Réservez une table maintenant
