It was raining at the pinery and was not in the mood for outdoor dining, let alone cooking. Stopped at paddington on Ontario street with parking in the rear. The main dining room is small but can handle a decent crowd and offers feee wifi.I would highly recommend the mussel with the white wine and garlic broth. The broth is just healthy and tasty, you might Ben luck out with some big and meaty PEI mussels. For dinner, I had a the battered perch with fries which was also tasty. The dining area can get busy and sometimes with one server, it can be a long wait for your food. So order a big beverage and have a conversation or watch one of the two tv. Would definitely repeat when back in the area...
Family of four for dinner after a long day on the beach. We ordered calamari and cheese sticks as apps. The calamari was exceptionally good; lightly breaded, tender and flavorful. For our mains, we had butter chicken, bangers and mash, French onion soup and fries. Everything was delicious. The butter chicken was particularly good (medium spice), while the onion gravy for the bangers was great and the fries were fresh cut perfection. We will go again for the nice cozy atmosphere, great service and fantastic pub menu selection. Next time, we will try the fish and chips which looked great on the surrounding tables.
WAS TOLD ABOUT THE GRAND BEND SUNSETS FOR YEARS AND FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO VISIT. IT DEFINATELY SERVED UP THE BEST SUNSET AND WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND THIS PLACE RIGHT AFTERWARDS THAT SERVED UP A GREAT LATE DINNER. WE WERE THRILLED THAT THEY STILL HAD THEIR FULL MENU ON WHEN WE Arrived Arrived after 9:00pm. Steak and baked potato on the board tonight and it was delicious. So much to choose from on their menu and it satisfied everyone in our party. Friends raved about their lemon pepper grilled fish as well as their beet salad. Need to go back to try all they have on their vast menu.
My husband and I dropped in for a cold beverage and a light bite to eat.The bartender Pam was exceptional, great service and knowledgable about the Grand Bend area. It was "mexican night" food specials so i orderd the quesadilla and it was very tasty, and the portion was large (took half home).All the staff were friendly, and other customers told us of Paddingtons great fish & chips. We will definitely return, we have certainly found a hidden gem in Grand Bend.This is the first review i have ever written....Exceptional experience!!!! Réservez une table maintenant
This was booked for a company Christmas dinner, the space was a little bit tight for the size of our group. The look of the pub and décor inside is fun - and the staff was friendly. Just a bit tight on space for the size we had.Meal was decent - although mine was a bit cold by the time it was served to my table (my table was one of the first to be served that night as well). Cold potatoes aren't the best. But - again I think that was due to the size of our group. The apps were great - and very tasty!
We reserved a space for a large party a few days in advance, and on the phone they were very helpful and said they had space for us. 90 minutes before our arrival they called and said they no longer had space as they're back patio is apparently sinking into the ground. They offered unsatisfactory alternative options and were not at all helpful in trying to remedy they're mistake. We had 25 people ready to spend at least 30 dollars each, and in the future we will not be returning to Paddingtons.
Consistently great food, service and hours. Never need to guess whether you are arriving in time to meet their kitchen hours. They are open their posted hours year round so there is ample time to enjoy all they have to offer. If you don't like cooking liver and onions at home they will do it for you and they do it well. Their breaded pickles are great app and are made to order not boxed. Can't say enough about this little gem right across from the beer store.
