Padrino's Cuban Cuisine

Three of us there for the first time. Went on a Sat. around 7PM. Pretty busy but not too noisy. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The meal consisted of Mariquitas App. $4.99 bland with garlic on the side), A carafe of Sangria $14.00 have had much better), Churrasco steak $17.99, came out rare, they did not ask how she wanted it cooked just ok), Garlic shrimp $14.99 small portion and not much flavor), and Roast pork chunks $10.99, which I judge Cuban restaurants by small portion and not much flavor). The ratings are an average of the three of us. All agreed that we have had much better.

As a Cuban myself, I was taken away by the atmosphere as I walked in to the dining area. Seeing the old photos, black and white of the founders made modern Cuban restaurant look interesting. The place is nice, good location and parking. The food was not great, the meet was not cooked properly, the moro just like sushi rice, sticky and the second time I went, I had shrimp a la jillo and it was terrible. Overall I will not eat in the restaurant. The staff were good but the food was poorly cooked. Not recommended.

We go often to Padrino's. We enjoy the grilled tilapia with the black beans and plantains. It is delicious. My husband enjoys the shrimp Creole as he eats them on many occasions. I also enjoy the Cuban sandwich and the sangria.

The food here is delicious. Even the sandwiches are tasty and the bread is very fresh. The Yuca, however is fair.
