The ambiance is absolutely delightful, and the service is outstanding. The food was tasty and enjoyable. However, I must point out that the portions are extremely small—more than just small, they're tiny. The only exception was the minuscule croissant filled with chicken salad, which was gone in three bites, and I felt there was a notable lack of protein in the offerings. I understand that this is an afternoon tea experience, but at $30 per person, I expected a bit more. Each guest can choose a “pot” of tea, but it isn't left on the table. We had a group of six and they allow you to choose just two teas for the table. A good selection of decaf options as well. The food was mostly tasty but some of options were a bit strange for an afternoon tea. The scone was more like a small cake, therewas also some banana bread on the savory plate, and something like a strata as well but not very flavorful and hard to figureout. We has a dairy allergy at the table and they could not clearly tell us which items had milk products and which didn't, soI would recommend not coming here with severe restrictions. A shellfish allergy was fine to accommodate, however.
A/C units don't work well enough to cool a room full of people, and too much space is taken up by kitschy retail junk and tchotchkes. Crowded with cellphone charms and fast-fashion shirts. Super weird. But the tea service was commendable, thesandwiches and pastries tasty, the scones excellent, and the service good enough.
Lovely tea room! The selections are always unique and flavorful. The chicken salad croissant is the absolute best. Their tea menu is absolutely massive, and there is truly something for everyone! The only thing that would make high tea better would be a soup, salad, or quiche option. But overall, a wonderful experience!

02-04-2023 My 13 year old daughter and I had a mommy daughter day. We decided to have High Tea at the Painted Tea Cup. We enjoyed everything from the food, decor, tea and the service. This place is so charming. We will definitely return to create more memories together.
This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the high tea experience is outstanding. Their attention to detail is remarkable, even extending to the finger sandwiches, which are served with the crusts removed. It's a wonderful spot for a date or to reconnect with friends.
A perfect old world tea room... beautiful china dishes, delicately flavored teas, masterfully crafted tea sandwiches and desserts. The whole place is sparkling clean, even the bathrooms are a marvel of style. Mary puts the personal touch oneverything! A sheer delight!
I had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and there was an excellent variety of teas. It was my granddaughter's first High Tea, and she was absolutely thrilled. The staff was incredibly accommodating and wonderful!
