NJ is known for its diners. This one is a classic. The food is varied and good. Service is most times what you would expect only 1 time was I totally disappointed in the service and I chalk that up to inexperienced server. The prices are good for the type of food diners serve. I always hate it when I am in a fake or chain diner, and the prices are higher and the food just not as good. This is not one of them places. Classic example my last visit I ordered coffee along with a drink and was between breakfast and the after dinner coffee time and got the reply from the waitress Let me put a fresh pot on for you Hun that is what you expect from a NJ Diner. And it went great with a pork roll sandw...
This diner is decent if you're in the area. I've been visiting New Jersey and tried to stop by again, but unfortunately, the food has declined quite a bit over the past year. The first time I ate here during my trip, the food was fantastic. However, when I visited on a Monday, the service was nearly nonexistent. Also, the stir fry I ordered didn't resemble a traditional stir fry at all. I've never seen one with zucchini and all these other ingredients; I really wish the waitress had informed me about that instead of me having to send it back because I was unaware of what was in it.
I saw this place on a Netflix show and had to visit while in Maine. It did not disappoint! I tried several things on the menu which were phenomenal but for myself, I got the fried chicken sandwich. Hands down....THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'VE EATEN IN MY LIFE!!! It may be a bit hot for some because of the fresh cut jalapeños but just right for me. Even their coffee was delicious. It's about 30 minutes outside Portland and well worth the trip!
Overall this is your run of the mill diner. The service feels a bit on the low side as far as I've never had a waitress that seems happy and personable. However, they have never been terrible with wait times or bringing out the order, just the interactions are on the sour end. Food is average diner food, so if you're looking for that, the Palace diner is a solid place to go. Réservez une table maintenant
I was quite disappointed with our visit, especially since we had just come from a trip. My friend ordered the Alfredo, but it was overly watery and tasted primarily of butter and heavy cream. The kids' meals were decent, but my green beans were overcooked. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The food was okay nothing spectacular that stood out. Their hollandaise was pretty good. Our coffees stayed empty for awhile and my water did as well. The part where they lost me was when I had to use the facilities. I’m glad I went in there after I ate because I never would have ordered food. It was disgusting.
Every dish we tried was fantastic! My family of four enjoyed sharing bites throughout the meal because everything was so delicious. The chicken and waffles were incredible! The staff was friendly, and there was plenty of space to relax. Réservez une table maintenant
