So, we went back to Palate for the second night in a row (it was so good yesterday, we had to go back . This time we had our kids. Our son said he wants to go there for his birthday lunch AND dinner. All four of our boys LOVED it and are already begging to go back. They asked if we could again tomorrow (sadly they are closed on Sun/Mon...otherwise we could probably be talked into it . This place has got to be Columbia's best-kept secret. However, I'd love to see them PACKED because the food certainly warrants it. I decided to try Palate after seeing all the positive reviews. The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the hype. The menu is primarily made up of deep-fried appetizers, with chicken nuggets (served with sauces on the side) being the main draw. I found the chicken nuggets, creamy mac and cheese, and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls to be just average. In my opinion, the food is overrated bar fare. If you're a foodie, you may find that Palate doesn't meet your expectations.
The food was fantastic! I found it a bit unusual how they serve it in containers, but I enjoy quirky touches like that. The taste and quality of the food are unbeatable. One of the owners was substituting for the usual bartender and made an amazing lemon drop martini. Don't miss the pickle aioli—it's delicious with the nuggets! I can't wait to return!
I had heard wonderful things about this place, so I was eager to give it a try. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found it closed. There was no sign on the door and no information on their website to inform customers. A passerby told us they were closed for business. It would have been helpful if they had communicated that!

This place is by far one of the best little hole in the wall places in west Columbia. I would definitely recommend trying it. The menu doesn't have too many selections but everything they have is absolutely incredible. The staff was so kind and helpful as well and made the experience even better.
What a charming little restaurant! The staff was incredibly friendly, both over the phone and at checkout. I tried the Pork Belly Buns (8/10), Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls (8/10), and the Strawberry Cheesecake Biscuit (9/10). Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
One of the best spots for delicious street food! The staff is consistently warm, dedicated, and always at their best. I absolutely love this place and feel grateful to be a customer. Everything they do comes from the heart. Let’s support these wonderful people!
I had another fantastic dinner last night with my coworker after work. I absolutely love the food! The pickle aioli is outstanding! I enjoyed mashed potatoes with gravy alongside my chicken nuggets, and it was delicious. I highly recommend it!

This is a gem in Columbia. The food, atmosphere, and service are all Flawless. If you are ever in the Columbia area, do yourself a favor, and visit. You will not be disappointed!
