Downtown Almonte - or maybe Old Town, Almonte would be more appropriate, has this nice, spacious cafe right on the main drag. They serve up excellent coffee and the usual treats that come with such a spot. And there's lots of room here to spread out your legs and read the paper, or just watch the people go by.

You will have to patient when you go to this place. The staff is polite but it seemed that they were a bit in the weeds on the day that we went there. It's a comfortable place with lounge chairs mixed with tables. If there's no hurry, they will get to you.

Palms on Mill Street is a warm, friendly and charming café with a country flavor. It's great for coffee, tea, dessert, and light lunches. My tuna salad sandwich was outstanding. Their prices are very reasonable.

My first time here, what a sweet little place. Lots of room to sit. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly staff. I tried the mango square - Wow !! I like how it is friendly and laid-back, not pretentious.

Stopped in for a late breakfast snack. Super friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. I had the egg thingy, very delicious and a cafe au lait bowl. Perfection.....
