Pamplemousse Le Restaurant

As my wife said, 'this place is cute '. The atmosphere is 'throwback to the 60s and very classic and cozy. They start you off with a complimentary vegetable tray that could be a meal if you ate it all. The food is great, especially the Foie gras and French Onion soup as starters. The main entree portions are huge, so one can easily satisfy two persons.

I love the old school vibe, but this place truly needs some TLC. I’m not thinking full makeover, but definitely a touch up. Note: no issue with the food, just the decor. I have eaten here a few times over the past 10 years. I will not go back unless I know they have made some updates.

Food was excellent aside from the default french fries that come with entres. French fries with a filet mignon, really? The decor was nice enough but definitely outdated, and the area this is in is sketchy at best, not a nice part of the city to be in.
