This Panera Bread is the worst, but it is consistent about being the worst. We had gone a few months since our last bad visit so decided to try again. NOPE! This site is still incapable of a customized sandwich. Simple customizations by the way. NO onions or EXTRA cucumbers. Nothing extravagant or out of the ordinary. The app and the website clearly promotes the capability of customizable options. But NO, not here. It will be wrong. I'm left with one of two conclusions. Either customer service is completely irrelevant to this establishment OR they make and shelve products and have no intention of providing something fresh. Either one is a no-go. Every time I visit the Lithia Pinecrest Panera, the bagels are super dark and almost burnt. This has been happening for the past 6 months, not sure what happened or if you hired new bakers or changed your equipment. No other Panera store has their bagels consistently this overdone. There used to be so much cheese on the Asiago, now it's just some sprinkled on and again... almost burnt. Service is always amazing but I often choose to go somewhere else nowadays, we used to get bagels every weekend morning.
I still like eating at Panera. I just wish that they hadn't changed the menu... but as with all of these establishments...they tend to get rid of the things that people REALLY enjoy the most. I really loved the chicken tortellini but it's no longer served...so that was a disappointment. I had to go with the usual bacon turkey bravo that I used to get in the past oh well. Service is good the cashier was friendly.
They recently updated the menu and the food seems far more bland than it used to be, even a cinnamon crunch bagel had almost no flavor. Additionally-it was Mother's Day and they were out of almost every pastry and bagel by 10:30...not at all prepared for the typical after church crowd, much less the Mother's Day rush.

I think the trick to enjoying this restaurant is to pick the right menu item. Some things like soup and bread and many of the sandwiches are good. I ordered the Caesar salad and found it pretty tasteless. I also don't really like the idea of busing your own tables. It seems pretty unsanitary to me.

1. The frozen caramel coffee with a pump of vanilla—it's truly life-changing!
2. The tuna salad sandwich on brioche, if they have it. It tends to be sold out before 11!
3. The chicken teriyaki bowl—healthy food has never tasted this good.
Overall, it's an excellent spot!
Great place. Friendly staff. I probably made a mistake with my online order and the manager offered to change it to the right one. That is customer service! We love to eat in this place since the food is great and has enough variety. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
