I had a very disappointing experience with Papa Johns Pizza due to an extremely late delivery—2.5 hours delayed—with no communication about the wait. When my order finally arrived, the food was cold, and by that time, it was too late to cancel since the store wouldn’t allow it. The only item that was correct were the wings. The pizza, which I requested well done, came out burnt, hard, and cold—no exaggeration. Everything else on the menu was overcooked as well. The manager and employees clearly lack a strong work ethic. I attempted to grab a quick pizza on my way home around 11:20 PM, but when I approached, all the staff and the manager quickly ran to the door and locked it, even though their hours state they close at midnight. This is a poor representation of Papa John's. They could have simply explained that they had just cleaned the kitchen and were shutting down. If they can't communicate that properly, then the entire team needs to be reconsidered.
The New York-style pizza with sausage, peppers, and onions has been exceptional. I’ve also sampled the Hawaiian pizza, featuring peppers, Canadian bacon, and pineapple. I’ve been coming here weekly lately, and the pizzas never disappoint! This is the closest I’ve found to genuine New York pizza. My only wish is that they had a grilled chicken or chef salad as a side, similar to what Italian restaurants in New York offer.
Several years ago, my friends and I were huge fans of this pizza. However, when I attempted to reheat a leftover slice, it became the worst pizza experience I've ever had. There's something about the crust that really lets this pizza down. I genuinely love pizza, especially when it has a yeast-based crust.

I was surprised to find that the small cups of garlic sauce cost over $0.50 each, even when I placed an order over $50. They only provide one sauce per large pizza, which is hardly sufficient for eight slices. While the service was pleasant, I think a change in their sauce policy is definitely needed.
I ordered two Papa John Bowls, priced at $8 each. When I got home, I noticed they were only half full. I was able to finish both without any issue. The taste was decent, but it was disappointing to see how little was actually in the bowls—I could easily see the bottoms.
My pizza was supposed to be delivered, but the delivery person never arrived. I called the restaurant, and they apologized and prepared my order again. However, when I went to pick it up, my pizza wasn't fully cooked and was a bit hard.
It seems to take an entire hour to prepare a basic pepperoni pizza. Every time I asked for an update, they said it would be just 10 more minutes. After waiting again, I was told another 10 minutes. Seriously, you need to improve!
