This pizza place has the worst service I have ever experienced. The delivery is reliable, but online orders are consistently delayed. Additionally, they often don't open until 4 o'clock, making it impossible to have pizza for lunch. When I called to place a pickup order, I drove 10 minutes to the restaurant while on the phone to save time. However, when I arrived at the pickup window, I was ignored for 5 minutes until someone finally came to speak to me. They informed me that they were behind by 45 minutes and were currently ignoring the 4 people waiting (myself included). Additionally, they do not open until after 4pm most days, so getting pizza for lunch is not an option. The food is consistently delicious at this restaurant! However, in our recent experiences with no-contact delivery, the driver has just been standing on my porch without knocking, waiting for me to come get the food. Despite requesting in a note for the food to be left on the chair on the porch, the driver has not followed this instruction. As we are currently in a pandemic, it is important for delivery drivers to respect customers' choice of no-contact delivery by adhering to their preferences. I would prefer not to have to take the food directly from the driver's hands for safety reasons.
The service at this restaurant was excellent. I placed an online order and was told it wouldn't be ready for almost 50 minutes after I paid. I called to cancel because we couldn't wait that long. The lady on the phone said she could cancel the order, but then called me back and informed me that the wait would only be 20 minutes. This restaurant should be shut down for failing to adhere to Covid safety guidelines. The kitchen was packed with staff who were not wearing masks or gloves. To make matters worse, the pizza I received was cold. I have tried to speak to Eddie Sanchez, the Area supervisor, a few times but he has not made any changes despite promising to address the issue with the staff.
After being placed on hold for 2 minutes, a staff member answered only to place me on hold for another 8 minutes. It seems they forgot about me as I had to call back. When I did, they answered instantly and didn't put me on hold again. However, they informed me that they weren't delivering at 8pm. My recommendation: order from any other restaurant except this one.
Denice wouldn't give me garlic Parmesan sauce. This is the day of the reckoning Denice. You ruined my night and I'm very upset. I work for papas so I know what I'm talking about. She was just lazy and wouldn't put it in a cup. Papa knows what you did. Papa isn't angry with you, Denice, just disappointed.
I highly recommend Papa John's in Swannanoa, NC for delicious and reliable pizza. They always deliver quickly, especially when the other nearby options are closed or taking too long.
