My girlfriend and I visited here last night. We don't often treat ourselves and were unsure where to go. We walk past this place almost daily and have always commented on how good the menu looks and how full it is (always a good sign). Well, after sifting through the extensive menu and deciding on our meals we were very disappointed when we got them. My girlfriends dish of crispy rice noodles with a sweet tangy sauce, with cherry tomatoes and bean sprouts on a bed of bok choi wasn't quite what came out. What they failed to mention was the alien pieces of egg floating in the dish and a few pieces of rouge cashew nuts. On top of this, having two tiny cherry tomatoes and no bok choi meant this...
This used to be good, however we went last Friday night and it was terrible. The salt n pepper squid was more like fried calamari you get at the local fish n chip shop, No salt or pepper flavor - when we complained that it wasn't was advertised on the menu with fried chili and shallots the boss told us we must of already eaten the topping????? Really we had only had one piece each before we complained - then she proceeded to ask us if we wanted chili? So she brought us a small bowl of chopped shallots and chili to sprinkle on ourselves. The duck with cinnamon was average and came with a few slices of duck and 3 small pieces of buck choy and as for the Mee grob........terrible........we order...
My wife and I longed for some some authentic Thai, having arrived for our sons wedding tomorrow we hosted our boys to dinner. This was a very poor dinner, I won't waste too much time noting the shortcomings but briefly;the first entree selected -rice paper roll, were 6.90 each. We ordered two serves and each entree received a 1 inch piece of entree, that was tasteless, almost 3.50 a piece, you're kidding!Satay we're ok but at $2 each we're miniscule...Paid Thai was the worst I've attempted to eat, duck curry was ok and massaman was ok. We went in to have a meal before a movie and were made to feel really rushed. We were constantly interrupted by the waitresses who were trying to take our plates away before we had finished. The food around us looked good so maybe we were unlucky with what we ordered, the duck salad was really small even though it was a main dish - it was all lettuce and red onion and the curry dish we had was watery and disappointing. We ordered rice but they only brought enough for one person so we then had to wait ages for another serve by which time we had finished our meal without it. Will not be going back I'm afraid. It's a good standby if you want to stay at home and not lose your hard won parking space, the home delivery serviceis excellent. Food is just average but still better than a lot of the country Thai I have eaten in the past couple of years strange thing is how generous they are with the sauce with the Red Duck curry, seems more sauce than meat but little stingy with the sauce for the spring rolls.
