One of the best kept secrets in Queens. I happened to be walking down Bell Boulevard and decided to walk into Papazzio to try their food, not expecting anything other than to fill my belly, as I was hungry. By the look of Papazzio inside, I expected the food to be expensive. I was presented a menu by the very friendly staff. I was suprised to see that the prices were reasonable for such a nicely decorated restaurant. I ordered the Rigatoni Messinase. I have to first tell you that this is one of my favorite dishes, and I tend to order this dish wherever it is available. It was the best Rigatoni Messinase I have ever had. What a gem. I ate a fabulous dinner with my wife last night. Ambiente is great, wonderful decor and soft music. Our meals were absolutely delicious, our salads were fresh and ducks were cooked for perfection. The timing of the portion was perfect, the salads came shortly after the order, the participants came after just enough time to dip a little bread in a delicious garlic butter/oil mixture and enjoy a sip of wine. Server was very pleasant and attentive, checked several times for us and kept our water glasses full at any time. Prices are reasonable in view of such a wonderful experience. Fine Italian Fare with customer participation. Papazzio seems to have everything right. The Viktuals are mostly delicious. The cocktails are inventive and very potent. The desserts and special coffee are excellent meals. The service I received was no less than attentive and gracious. Why only 78% of admission at the time of this letter? Call me mystified. The restaurant has special meals and entertainment evenings. Papazzio goes out to cultivate a loyal clientele. With free bread, Papazzio serves a hummus with olive oil and ground black pepper, which is addicted.
