During our journey through Spain, my wife and I visited Ubeda and spent one evening at Parador de Ubeda hotel. We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant which is located on-site in the hotel. The staff was welcoming and accommodating and the seating was comfortable and spacious. My meal started with a tasty roll and a small platter which included croquettes, fresh potato chips and a small cup of gazpacho. Next up was a delicious salad that included fresh greens and was accented with feta cheese and walnuts. For my entrée I had braised veal which was accompanied by potato and vegetables. In general, my assessment is positive. good service, although it is true that it is not far from all pockets, as it is not as cheap as other locals. However, quality must be paid, and the national lubeda parador has good quality. The best, in my opinion, is the environment, as it is located in the heart of the historic center of the city, near wonderful monuments and gardens. Furthermore, the parador is located in one of these architectural buildings of singular beauty.
Both the decor and menu are very traditional. Period furniture but more homely than lavish. Crisp white tablecloths and napkins. Menu is not huge but offers a selection of local fayre, many recipes dating back some time. Their baby lamb shoulder was just amazing- so full of flavour- roasted with garlic. Served with traditional poor mams potatoes. Some lovely 'different ' wines to try. Efficient, tho quite formal, service.
on the day we celebrated our forty years of married. We were eight people we chose a beautiful place even to remember my childhood in úbeda the exquisite kitchen we ate d luxury the service of good waiters but . we had bad luck to have a waitress in the service of bad face table bad modes his treatment did not drip us to the ones we were . this will not prevent you to come back

Hotel very nice room good very clean and good bed food ok not the best, service in the restaurant more 2 star than 4 star very slow with only 6 tables , order wine straight in ice bucket did not show the bottle see if it's the one I ordered, I have better service in my local bar, need to up the game a lot..m
