I have been a customer of the pub for over 25 years and have witnessed owners both good and bad come and go. Having asked the newest owners if they would mind me hosting a 40th birthday party in the pub for my wife, they could not have been more accommodating. They offered to cater if required, provided music for the evening, reserved 2 areas especially for those invited, allowed me to decorate the area with balloons and a cake and also helped me with pre arranged glasses of bubbly for when guests arrived. Very disappointing experience which I won't be repeating. Cold dining area, lacking atmosphere and feels like the food was an after thought. The waitress tried her best but 3 request for tap water was excessive. We had booked and there was only us in the dining area. There were people in the main bar eating. We ordered Tapas to share as a birthday treat. Prawn pil pil in warm oil, not bubbling. Only ate half as the prawns were not right. Cold nachos, warm sausage wraps which made them unpleasant. Salmon fritters OK as was the patatas bravas. Paid up and left. It's unlike me to give a bad review but no-one seemed to acknowledge our concerns within the organisation. I have to say as someone who's got 2 large breed dogs I was so glad to see the Parkfield was dog friendly. Both the landlord and landlady are more than welcoming towards all their customers and their fury friends especially my giant Saint Bernard! Marley is always made a fuss off! I felt compelled to write this as the last review is unfair and inaccurate towards the landlord and landlady. They couldn't be MORE welcoming to your WELL behaved fury friends! The pub itself has a great atmosphere and looks great since the recent refurbishment. I am proud to call it my local. We’ve visited a number of times now and every time we’ve had such a positive experience. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into a relaxed environment. The wine selection is of a high standard; the land lady clearly knows her wine. We enjoyed a selection of small plates which were delicious. I would recommend the salt and pepper chicken and the lamb kofta. The service is wonderful and I would highly recommend a visit. Just fabulous! Réservez une table maintenant

We held my daughters christening at the parkfields and our day was nothing short of perfect. The food was absolutely sensational with all our guests commenting on how delicious it was. The service was warm and friendly and pub it’s self is stunning inside. Owner Angela went above and beyond to make sure our day was nothing short of idealic. The best pub in the area by a far mile. We will definitely remain locals in the future.

A huge Thank You to Team Parkfield Our family Sunday Lunch was absolutely delicious a great selection of different meat sides, very tasty gravy the key to a perfect roast !!! A good choice of wines to accompany a very friendly warm welcoming atmosphere with a hardworking team the service was fabulous! We wish the new Management the very best of luck delighted to have a lovely family friendly local pub in our neighbourhood.

If you want a place that offers homecooked food and an amazing warm friendly atmosphere look no further. It has now become a regular of mine. The landlady is so lovely, the decor is warm and inviting and they offer a great variety of beers/lagers. Its not a place to be missed. Amazing place for great music

Friendly owners and a great atmosphere. We had between 70-100 friends for an event and The Parkfield were brilliant. Food was ten out of ten, great to see this local pub back on the map! Réservez une table maintenant

It was closed despite website saying it was open. Never mind we all went to the Eagle and Child which was open, refurbished and very good..

Great pub with great atmosphere and good food. On Sunday there is an artist on and he is very good. You can sit outside great sun trap.
