Me and two kids for lunch coming in at $81 for one kids, two adult mains and a dessert. The forest burger was ok but below the level I’d expect for good pub fare these days. The chicken schnitzel was excellent the right line between thick and thin. Kids meal was gobbled up. Ordered the sticky date pudding for dessert $13). Let down by this. It was the same size, shape and taste as the microwave Aunt Betty ones rather than a gorgeous tasty finish to the meal. Accompanied by spray whipped cream from a can and plain ice cream. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were disappointed to find no hostess to seat us, so we had to find a table ourselves. The food was very underwhelming. Two of us ordered the Sirloin steak with Diane sauce, but both the steak and sauce lacked flavor and the steak was mediocre. The Tartare sauce for the fish was unusually watery, indicating a need for better preparation. The Forest burger was surprisingly small, more suitable for a child than an adult. Sadly, as a family of nine, we will not be returning to this restaurant again. Our Mother's Day celebration was quite disappointing.
The restaurant is in a pleasant location, perfect for a family gathering on a sunny summer afternoon. However, the food was very disappointing. Each of the three steak options was tough and nobody was able to finish their meal. The salmon was overcooked and unappetizing. The only positive dish was the chili prawn spaghetti, which was spicy, enjoyable, and came with a generous portion of prawns. The staff were cheerful and had a good attitude. Overall, the experience was okay but the restaurant definitely needs to improve.
We were staying at the hotel and ate there each night. They have several nights with specials. Tuesday was Tacos for $4.50 and 50c Wings. Both were great. Wednesdays Steak $12 with chips and salad we added Diane Sauce and it was very good. Thursday Chicken Schnitzel we added Toppers Garlic Prawns and Salami Spinach and Mozzarella. Not many places you can have a meal for 2 under $30. The staff were nice and friendly and the meals served quite quickly. Will definitely eat there next time.

Not usually a fan of pub food but we had a family lunch there and I had one of the nicest meals I’ve had for a long time, everyone at the table had something different and all raved about their choices. Table was on The Terrace alongside fabulous indoor and outdoor play areas as judged by two grandchildren. Food, staff and setting perfect. Meals for 4 adults and 2 children cost about $130. Very accommodating in dealing with dietary restrictions
A group of friends have dinner here on a weekly basis. Generally the food has been very good. Last night was an exception. Two of us had different pizzas and the toppings were so scant. The chicken one had a fingernail size piece of chicken on each slice and one slice had none....for $24! The meat pizza was similar and not a patch on previous weeks. We will give it the benefit of the doubt or....
My husband and I often come here for a quick Friday lunch. Can order food from the table and arrives quickly. Chicken wings are delicious! Have also been with family, young children and friends and always have a great time.
The prices have gone up, including the shared bbq meat platter which is now $10 more expensive. They have also removed lamb shanks and the garlic, chilli chicken pizza from the menu. Overall, it was disappointing.

We initially had to wait for approximately 30mins to get in (covid restrictions). Once in, we had a really enjoyable time, great beers and a solid meal. Staff were proficient and friendly. Amenities are good.
