This was just over half way around a twin Baranco walk to the Sanctuary of Las Nieves. We were going to just have Tapas, but on studying the menu we decided to have a full meal. Mainly because it had Conejo (Rabbit) on the menu which is typical of Canarian cuisine and we love it. It was a busy place, even on a Wednesday afternoon. Full of locals and so the service was a little slow at times, but that was not a problem for us. We enjoyed the ambience of sitting outside under the trees in the square outside the Sanctuary Church. Prices were very reasonable of the food was wonderful. The starter ensalada was exceptional.

There are so many restaurants within walking distance of our hotels and appartments, that the need to visit this unispiring restaurant is pointless unless visiting the Church. The service was bland the food OK if not just a little basic and the vast space characterless.

Most of the meat is butchered on site, local food simply grilled over flames. Go on a Sunday and it has an atmosphere like nothing else in La Palma. As you know from the reviews below the food is great and plenty of it. Unboned meat is the best option from the grill.

Our Best of La Palma tour brought us here for lunch. We had a local meat dish that was flavorful-we never did get the name of it but it was tasty. We had some goat cheese and wrinkled potatoes. It was decent.

Only stopped for a coffee on our drive through but this was such a perfect spot in the tiny square. So tranquil, and the coffee was perfect.
