I had read in Gourmet Traveller that the Banjaan Borani eggplant dish was one of the best so of course we had to make another trip to this favourite to try for ourselves. We arrived, ordered and food was on the table in minutes which is perfect for us on a week night. All the food was delicious but the absolute star was the eggplant. This is something else. One of those, close your eyes so you can focus just on the flavours moments that come so rarely when dining. Subtle flavours with a meltingly tender texture this is an extraordinary dish..We were very lucky to have booked a table for Tuesday night as many people arrived while we ate and were sadly turned away. The tables are packed in but yo...

We had heard good things about Parwana for a while and finally had an excuse to go with friends and our kids.I must say this is a great restaurant. Terrific food, friendly service, good prices and a lovely window into life in Afghanistan with the walls scattered with photos of family and friends there. We ordered the lamb, rice, eggplant and a variety of other dishes. The eggplant was amazing and the rice was great too. The rice is a long grain specific to Afghanistan. Although the meat dishes were good the vego plates were outstanding.Be warned this is a very busy restaurant and they typically do 2 sittings (early and late) so it is not a place to start slow and stay all evenings.Highly reco...

Tried Parwana for the first time for a birthday dinner with friends and family. We decided to let the waitress recommend what we should have, it certainly did not disappoint. We shared 2 different rice dishes, 1 lamb,. 1 chicken dish, as well as the dumplings and the eggplant dish also, I am not a massive fan of eggplant, but it was worth trying, with the flavours it was very good. packed restaurant for the time we were there and tables within small distances from each other, made for a very packed place, but I feel shows how popular it is and how good the food must be (before we tried it) Go and give it a try is my recommendation.

First time I had been to this place having heard great reports about it. I was certainly Not disappointed. Food amazing especially as everyone said the signature egg plant dish. Caramelised rice and veg beautiful, dumplings are amazing and so tasty . We shared 6 dishes between 6 and it was perfect Everything we had was superb. It's byo (corkage $10 ) a must go to place food so tasty but not hot and spicy. They have different menus on different days and st times two sittings Bookings are essential as it was packed out and I booked 10 days ago Réservez une table maintenant

Family run restaurant with a small menu of Excellent food. The dips and vegetable fritters for entree were fresh and full of flavour. The main dish of mantu dumplings were amazing with the dumpling Pastry so fresh and soft, and the Mince had great flavours. Naan bread was a little bit rubbery to be honest but the pan fried chicken , with salad was very good and the yoghurt dip was a refreshing acconpaniment to the meal. Overall excellent with friendly fast service. Try the chai tea!

We got some dips but they weren't the creamy sort of types. We had a bean dip, smoky spicy tomato and a spicy eggplant one and they were more oil based if you know what I mean? Then we had spiced eggplant cooked in tomato with a mint yoghurt on top. That was their signature and it was good. And lamb with fresh cucumber salad and naan. It was BYO too so we had nice O'Leary Walker shiraz. End of review. Except it was very busy. Actual end of review.

Spices and middle eastern flavours! First thing that comes to mind when describing this restaurant. Comforting and rustic vibe! BYO is encouraged. Service was great. Generally I'm not the biggest fan of this type of food however was very glad I tried something different. The eggplant was melt in your mouth, loved the vegetarian rice. If you like middle eastern or Indian style cuisine you'll definitely enjoy the food here. Make sure you book.

I have eaten here a couple of times and the place is very very popular. The food is nice, but I honestly don't really understand what the fuss is all about. It wont disappoint but I wouldn't say its the best food I've eaten either. Réservez une table maintenant

There are two sittings available at Parwana. We chose the first sitting and the great service made it easy to be finished in the allotted time. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced.,
