After trying different places in NYC at the recommendations of friends, I found Pad Thai as a tasteful and tasty Four Seasons Thai back in NJ, and it is not in a big city but in Flagstaff, AZ. But for the same price I paid on the east coast, the portions here at Pato are more generous (think cheesecake factory) and have some unique twists. They garnish the pad Thai with crispy shredded carrot and red cabbage. The spicy fried rice has basil in it and is both delicious and decent spicy. Have to try again their other dishes!
We love everything about Pato Thai! Beautiful, clean, open interior with many seating, wonderful service and amazing food! We have the shrimp pad thai and thai basil pig with a Thai iced tea to wash everything down and everything was so delicious and cheap. (We have lunch special). The only slight downfall is that you have to pay for parking... this is just a dollar an hour... so not too bad!
Great food, excellent customer service and beautifully decorated! A bit on the pricier side, but the food was delicious. In this restaurant they prepare the food with spicy levels of 1-5 (1 is not spicy at all and 2 is mild and so on). For my red curry, I tried Level 2 and it was quite spicy for me. However, I still enjoyed this tasteful and delicious dish very much.
Such a great dining experience I am glad they are open Sundays. They are closed Wednesdays though FYI. Last time I made it to this restaurant was in 2015 at their older location. The new location is spacious. Attentive staff!!!! The food is still great. I got spicy noodles. And ordered beef short ribs to go.
