After my wife and I had finished work late, with nothing at home to feed the kids, we decided to try something different. The restaurant was clean and well lit as two walls are essentially glass so you feel like you're sitting outside. The lighting was great after sitting in an office all day. We ordered our food, my wife had chicken roti, the children had fries and chicken wings and I had the jerk pork with rice and peas. Everything came in a timely manner, the food was unbelievably flavourful similar to the molecular gastronomy experienced in the very high end restaurants where an assortment of flavours touch your tongue at different times during the chewing and digestion process. So we were trying to decide what is for dinner while I was visiting friends in TORONTO. Mary suggested this place. Said she had taken a client there.W@e ordered the sampler platter. Mary had the BBQ chicken. Her husband ,Wayne< had Jerk pork, and I had ROTI. Never even heard of it before. If you are sure what you might like. this is a great starting point/ you a few jerk shrimp with mango sauce, some jerk pork, some BBQ chicken, some spring rolls and some wings. Came across this great restaurant while visiting family. Choose it because it had vegan options and not just vegetarian. We had the chick peas and callalooo, and cabbage with vegetables, one plate had rice and peas the other had provisions. Both meals were plentiful and very tasty. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The price of the meals were similar to other places but the size of the meal was more than most places.
I had the pleasure of working with this restaurant for my book launch party. Everyone loved and commented on how delicious the food was. The food came stored well and arrived promptly. Working with the restaurant was easy they have great and efficient customer service through out the whole process! loved it can't wait to go in to dine at the restaurant. I would highly recommend!
Food and service were excellent. I had the oxtail with rice and peas. The oxtail was so tender that it melted in my mouth. My wife had callaloo and chick peas with roti which was really delicious. While we were there, there was a great stream of people in and out of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Loved the options of island classics along with new fusion ideas.Servings were bigger than my eyes, and taste was DELISH!Definitely going back to visit the owner, Wayne, and his ever so patient staff!Great place to sit down, relax and enjoy your food, if you don't want to get it to go!
Excellent customer service with a smile. Nice relaxing West indian music in the background sets up for a calm cool ambiance. I had the jerk chicken shimp, caution ask for medium spice if your not a custom to spicy food. Spice on point...so good. Will definitely come back.
