Been coming here for three years, never had an issue until recently, the new waitress is terrible. We sat for at least 15 minutes before she acknowledged us and then brought out a well done steak, I know that may not have been her fault but she seemed agitated at the fact that I was not pleased with my meal, then she kept offering me alternative meals, and she kept telling me whatever you get, you pay so not only would have to pay for the original meal but for a replacement meal as well. When the bill came I had to pay for something I did not eat. Will not go back
Our server struggled with English, but there is an English menu. The food is awesome. We've been several times and continue to bring our out of town guests here. I love the Goulash and lighter fare menus. The restaurant offers a schnitzel special each day. My husband keeps wanting to go on Saturday when they have the pork knuckle special. Our kids love it here also. The only disappointments we've had are they sell out of pretzels and the meatloaf is actually more like a Spam.
I spent years in and around Germany. This is a first price restaurant that wants to be happy. They are among the best carvings and other authentic German dishes, but are proud of their steaks. Your daily special is always a good choice. I have found that the staff is usually a family that works tirelessly to please. I don't write reviews often, but the time here is worth it. I love traveling and experiencing new things, but during the weekdays here it is nice to be pampered.
