As expected, the storm forced us to cancel our 5-year-old's birthday plans. In need of some fresh air and a quick meal, we decided to visit Newquay town. Pauline's creamery had a display of amazing cakes that caught our attention. They have a dining area upstairs which we took advantage of. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and they even noticed it was our son's birthday and placed a candle on his dessert while singing happy birthday. This level of customer service and attention to detail was truly appreciated. Thank you for lifting our son's spirits on such an unexpected day.

I am a huge fan of their turnovers. They are not too sweet and have a light, fluffy texture that really stands out. Their scones are also fantastic – soft and yummy. When paired with clotted cream and jam, it's the perfect blend for a delightful afternoon tea. This experience has totally changed my outlook on afternoon tea – I never realized it could be this good. The service was excellent, the meal was a dine-in experience, and the price per person was between £1-10. I gave the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5.
Ordered a medium Black Forest Gateaux, my son picked it up and brought it back for me. What a amazing cake, other well known shops can't compete. Thank you so much Paulines. Popped into here as we saw lots of lovely treats in the window and some are to die for. But only got the sandwich deal they had on as need to something for our trip back home. Prices were reasonable and you had a choice per item included which was very good. Had a queue out the shop which illustrated how popular it was. 3 of us bought prawn baguettes and a couple of pastys. Absolutely delicious and generous fillings. Very good value and exceptional service. One of our crowd was accidentally overcharged but as soon as we went back and showed them their mistake, they apologised and refunded instantly no quibbles. Lovely friendly staff. Wee old fashioned café with authentic vintage feel of the 70s. The young guy (with the impressive tash) serving was full of humour and energy. I ordered a takeaway scone set which included two scones, two clotted creams, and a strawberry jam. It was delicious, with the scones being perfectly crumbly and moist. I will definitely be returning to this place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The best scones and tea I have ever had are found at this establishment. They also serve delicious sandwiches. The staff is very friendly. I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.
