Pavilion Gardens Cafe

Located near the Pavilion, this restaurant is a peaceful and calm oasis despite being close to one of Brighton's busiest streets. The charming cafe building is a hidden gem, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The portions of food are generous and served quickly, though there can be a noticeable difference in size between dishes. It's a great place to meet up with friends and comes highly recommended. The only strange thing is that coffee is served in various cup sizes, while tea is only available in one size.

Just a few feet from New Road, it felt like we were in the country: bird song, squirrels, dappled shade and the best apple pie I have had. The homemade food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. A nice mixture of people, some with their dogs, some with kids in tow and some more elderly regulars, everyone having a good time. I wish we could have stayed there much longer but it was the perfect Sunday morning chill.

We were on a very time restricted visit to Brighton and wanted to see the pavilion. Wanted a quick lunch so went to this very convenient cafe. What a lovely place, lovely view, excellent menu with plenty of gluten free choices. Very quick service, delivered very quickly to our table, and cleared away very promptly. Really enjoyed it.

Lovely outside cafe. Clean everywhere. Staff are wonderful. We visit 2 times a week. Reasonably priced food. Lovely selection. Food comes in covered container as pigeons are friendly visitors. Squirrel are seen also. Relaxing place in sun. Been going here since 1990 and been so great to eat and drink. Réservez une table maintenant

My son and me were cycling from Herne Bay to Lands End. We were 12 miles from our next accomodation and stopped here for a rest. The weather was amazing and we found this was a fantastric place for a reast and some excellent coffee. All the staff we spoke with were very helpful and friendly.

This is a charming spot to enjoy a coffee or meal outdoors. Today, there was even live music. The egg sandwich was exceptional, freshly prepared with generous fillings and served with a cover to protect from seagulls. The coffee was also very good.

We decided to have a drink, a snack and to get out of the sun for a while on a day trip to Brighton. It was lovely to sit under the shade of a tree and have tea and a rock cake with jam and cream, delicious, very reasonably priced as well.

Located in a prime location, this cafe is unfortunately plagued by rats and pigeons, with staff that are rude and food and coffee that are disappointing. Despite the ideal setting, the overall appearance of the cafe is unappealing. Réservez une table maintenant

Nice gardens, very popular for a lunch or brunch stop. We also had a rest here and enjoyed the warmth of the sun while waiting for our slot to go up the i360
