Mike was our late lunch server. I've visited Colorado Springs 3 times in the last two years, today being the third time. Every time I make sure to visits this place. The food is great and today was no different. I had the famous meatloaf and it was incredible. My partner in crime had the ribs and shared one with me. They were falling off the bone and delicious IMO and my partner thought the same. The difference today was our server Mike tall bald guy with a grip of steal! Sorry if I got the name wrong. . However, my experience changed on my last visit. The service was not at all up to the standard I had previously enjoyed. I ordered ahead for pickup, but when I arrived, I was told they hadn't started making my food yet. I ended up waiting in the drive-thru for 15 minutes—what's the point of ordering ahead if it doesn't expedite the process? Given the prices, I expected a better level of service. Update in April 2023: I raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars thanks to Shay, our server. She was incredibly attentive, quickly bringing our drinks and food to the table. Having lived in the south, the food is pretty good! It’s hard to find good barbecue in Colorado. It’s a little pricey but not bad if you buy bulk.The biggest qualm I have is the service. Every time my husband and I have been in here, the girl that serves us (same girl each time— she looks about 17) either acts really dismissive and annoyed/unhelpful or she is unprofessional. At one point they didn’t have any straws or silverware and she seemed annoyed when we asked for them initially. We visited for the launch of the new menu, and the food was fantastic! The chicken wings, a new addition, were delicious with a crispy outside and tender, juicy inside. The restaurant was clean, and the decor, while modern, has a distinct Western American vibe. What stood out the most was the friendly and welcoming staff and owners, who provided excellent service. I highly recommend trying the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers and the rolled ice cream dessert—they looked amazing, and I regret not taking more pictures. Réservez une table maintenant
The food was mediocre. There was two of us out for lunch. They only gave us one knife We asked for honey to go with our cornbread and they charged us two dollars without even telling us. For one small little cup of honey. When we asked the waiter, what the two dollar charge was he said sorry, not my fault that's with the manager wanted to charge you. Unacceptable. No customer service.Definitely would not recommend this place don't waste your money .
Our whole group had either chopped brisket sandwiches or a meal with chopped brisket.It was surprising that the brisket wasn’t really chopped but small cubes. It was chewy for brisket, no matter how it’s cut up and had more fat than you’d expect as normally the fat melts as the brisket is cooked.Not my favorite BBQ by a long shot.The beer was good.
The barbecue here was disappointing; it seems like they only smoke their meat once or twice a week. The meat was dry and overly salted. I've had better tasting shoe leather. It really did not meet my expectations. I think they could benefit from traveling south or to Kansas City to learn how to properly make barbecue.
Great view, great drinks, great service and great food !! We tried the Texas brisket jalapeño bacon wrapped appetizer.... Soooo good ..And had the brisket cheese steak sandwich, great recommendation by the bar tender : we will be back !! Réservez une table maintenant
