We had high hopes for this place as they have good reviews, but overall quite disappointing. We originally booked Tosca and Starkrimson for 1 night, but due to change of plans we emailed and ask if we could extend our stay to 2 nights. We stated that we would prefer to stay at the same room but don't mind switching rooms if necessary.(meaning switching rooms between the 1st and 2nd night) Got a reply saying it was all sorted and a booking confirmation email, but it didn't state which room, so naturally we assume we are staying in the original rooms for both nights. Stopped for lunch on the way to Bath. What a beautiful place garden was so well kept and laid out. Inside was gorgeous. Staff wonderful and friendly. Food amazing. Could not fault it. We would love to go back and stay there. This is a real find. Food drinks: Great choice of food and tasted great. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Quiet, Great value
Cozy room with rustic country deco, great tasting food with a warm welcoming service in a beautiful surrounding all made for a memorable celebratory weekend. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the cobwebs on the windows and mould around the bath. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
