Seems to be new people. Menu no longer has as much choice and everything is dearer. Thankfully we only ordered the mixed starter for 2 to start with. Free prawn crackers were boring. Then the starters, initially they forgot the crispy seaweed, until I pointed it out. Satay sauce was runny and tasteless, chicken satay skewers seemed undercooked, 4 small spare ribs were burnt but only thing with taste, only one 1/4 sesame prawn toast each where as used to get 2 and the late arriving seaweed was covered in salt and not epic. £16 for the starter, we left before wasting any more money on them. Used to have choice of 2 mixed starters but now only one. Avoid it if you don't want to throw your money away. Won't be back or order from them again, shame as old owners were lovely and food much better and better value. Also, beware if your crispy duck, the one other customer in there ordered it for them to come with a bowl of lettuce leaves instead of pancakes. Then had cold pancakes brought out when she asked for them to be swapped and sent themback to warmed up.

Now named Empire, very good food, recommended by our son who uses this restaurant regularly, we ordered various dishes that we normally order from our local takeaway all were excellent nicely presented by friendly staff. Looking forward to trying different dishes on our next visit

I was hungry and fancied a Chinese but my choices were limited I put my head in the door and I could see that the majority if its customers were Chinese, always a good sign! My luck was in food was great the service was attentive what more could one want?

It is now called the Empire Chinese Restaurant. Under new management. This is a recent change so we tried it. Very good indeed. We will go again.

Great meal friendly staff never felt rushed lovely atmosphere. Drinks reasonably priced. Would recommend.
