a few years ago, my girls and I came to pelayo. the tapas were always very good (although not very cheap) and also the service was perfect! for a while, it's not like that anymore. the service is inattentive. we were eating about 45 minutes at an empty bottle of wine and were not asked if we would like to drink. when the waiter fell down a fork; that can happen, but the fork was still on the floor when we were about. 45 minutes later have left the restaurant. the waiter was then noticeably upset about his drink money i.h. w. 3,80 eur. The place we were planning on going was closed, so we are happy to find Pelayo a block away and we loved the menu and decor, so went in. The service was VERY slow and not attentive, but we had a wonderful evening talking and enjoying the nice weather in back patio and the food was decent - not memorable, but solid.
Most dishes were delicious, some were not hot. Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside in very nice weather. Even though it was relatively empty inside, it was quite loud and therefore conversations a bit exhausting. Very good and accommodating service.
The rooms are very dark, we had to read the menu with the cell phone lamp. At 7 p.m., you could hardly talk, as it was very loud. The food was very delicious and the service staff was very friendly.

Best Spanish food outside of Spain with a lovely outdoor space and great service. I was definitely impressed. This is an experience beyond the overrated...
We were 6 and sat on the terrace due to the good weather. Service, food and ambience were great. Absolutely recommended and happy again.
Very delicious tapas! Unfortunately, the paella was only good from my point of view. But what was again compensated by the tapas.
