Went here with my kids. When you go in it is extremely quiet. Signs say please wait to be seated. It also says welcome we are open. We waited patiently for a few minutes. No one greeted us. People were just staring at us. Then we just walked all the way to the back since we saw employees just standing around talking. Then one of the workers asked if we were taking food to go. Why would we be taking food to go? We were waiting in the front. Then she said we had to sit outside because there were no seats inside. Mind you it was raining. Please please train your staff. They have to greet customers. It was incredibly unwelcoming.
Have been bringing our grandkids here for about 2.5 years. They are now 3.5 and 1.25 years old: Happy grandkids=>happy grandparents!! They each LOVE the Quiche Lorraine (with fruit salad). I often get the tuna sandwich, but today got the chipotle chicken which was very tasty...with a mighty kick! My wife has been getting a bagel.....and hot chocolate, which she just adores! Very cozy, neighborhood cafe, with a nice touch of a children's bookstore incorporated inside (although we almost always eat in the patio; the kids love to watch the koi fish while waiting for our order).
This is a hidden gem! My friends and I have been coming here, once a week for years for breakfast and often for lunch. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Great food, wonderful staff and Penelope, the owner, is always there for lunch. Make a reservation for lunch and sit outside under a beautiful tree and enjoy the ambiance and great food!
This was my fourth visit to Penelope's, and it has definitely become a favorite spot for my sisters and me. The atmosphere is cozy and eclectic, the service is fantastic, and the salads are delicious—all at very reasonable prices! I highly recommend it!

The food is excellent, the staff is fantastic, and it’s the perfect spot to catch up with girlfriends and colleagues. The owner is wonderful and makes each visit to her restaurant a delightful experience.
My first time at the cafe. What a wonderful place! Great food and fantastic seating area outdoor. Parking: Shared parking is behind the restaurant.
The stuff was super friendly and the food was amazing. The owner is really sweet and the coffe that they have some of the best stuff out there.
The food was outstanding! I would definitely return! We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio; it was lovely!
