"Super good! I'd only had Leonard's before and Penny's is it's own very fantastic malasada. So fluffy and soft!"

Located in the Royal Hawaiian Center is Penny Malasadas. I've heard about these donut style Hawaiian breads and I wanted to try one. These did not disappoint. They were so soft and sweet and so so good. We tried the regular Malasadas and the coconut cream filled one and the custard filled one. They were all good. It's located in the food court of the Royal Hawaiian Center and the dining is shared with the many eateries in that food court so not much of an ambience. The service, however, was amazing. The cashier was very knowledgeable and nice. the Malasadas were affordable but they weren't cheap either

First time trying these malasadas and they did not disappoint. We ordered 2 ube filled, 2 coconut and 2 custard filled ones and they were served warm and gooey. The flavors of the fillings accentuate the soft doughy sugar buns. They also have other flavors such as nutella, strawberry and cherry filled ones. The server was really nice. They're cute stall is located in the food court of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.

Penny's is on the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. We ordered a box of 6 2 of each sugar coating: white cane sugar, cinnamon sugar , and li hing powder. No filling since not a fan of filling. Service was good and order came quick, but was disappointed with the doughiness of the malasadas. It was too light so I wasn't satisfied. One good thing is that they're made to order, which I appreciated.

I personally enjoyed their malasadas vs Leonard's. It's much more lighter and less doughy. Also made to order so super fresh and hot. Leonard's is good but it's a bit too doughy for me and the filling ones have this cheap weird after taste. Pennys custard was really good. Very creamy and light. I guess it's a personal preference but I really enjoyed there's!
