This is not a fancy place. This is a good place. It has this sense of being authentic. Food is great. We’ve had tuna and octopus and a chocolate dessert. The tuna was served with quarters of cherry tomatoes and fresh lemon for dressing. The fish felt fresh and perfectly cooked. The octupus was the softest we’ve ever had. Simply stunning. Dessert chocolate cake with moist sponge base was mouth wateringly good, tender and not too sweet just perfect. Oh almost forgot. The appetiser was warm bread with the nicest set of dips. Pesto and pepper based. Definitely coming here again.
We wanted to eat where the locals do, and Pepin was indeed the right place for our lunch in San Andres. The chef showed us from the very beginning the fresh ingredients he had for the day, so we could choose our dishes accordingly. We wen for the day's menu and it was amazing! The fish soup was incredible, I would have never guessed fresh mint leaves and fish go together so well! Their ingredients are all fresh and everything is made from scratch, which was important for us. We payed less than 10 euro per person for a very filling three course menu.
