Persephone exceeded our expectations! While we are used to small breweries in Vancouver that offer tasting flights, Persephone provided a complete experience. You can easily spend hours on their expansive farm without getting bored. A self-guided tour takes you around the farm to learn about the beer-making process and discover unique features like a chicken coop. There are plenty of seating areas, an orchard, greenhouse, berry farm, and even a bookstore to explore. Additionally, there is a food truck and various snacks available, including local ice cream. Hey I am in Gibson and why not drop by at Persephone. I ended up coming back twice within a week while I was staying in Gibson. I dropped by and picked a few cans of beer. I got the Stout, Berline Weisse and Brewer Choice Lager for B to try. The Berline Weisse was a miss for sure. He didn't really like that one. Out of the three that I got he really liked teh Brewer Choice Lager. It had a light refreshing flavor. The stout was not bad but also not like special. The prices of the 4 tall cans ranges from $12 to $20. We also walked around the area as well. They have a chicken coup and a nice area to sit and relax. Came here right as soon as we got off the ferry. Very cute farmhouse concept where you can literally smell fresh beer being brewed as you enjoy your drinks on one of their many seating areas! They also offer tasty gin cocktails if you aren't interested in beer, and their food menu (although we did not order any) looked and smelled delicious. My favorite drink would have to be their lavender pear gin cocktail. It wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing. Gin is also a low acidic alcohol option so it's perfect if you suffer from reflux disease like I do!
I recently visited this restaurant and was impressed to learn that they have a staff member who has celiac disease, but still enjoys the food there. It seems like they have hired a new chef, and I must say, the burgers were absolutely fantastic. I also really enjoyed their fry hopped cider. While they don't have a separate fryer for gluten-free items, I was pleased with the side salad. After indulging in the best bacon cheeseburger of my life, I left feeling satisfied and energized. We are here for lunch and food are good and in fair price. Taste of the beer is most important. We have try the Dark Irish shout, Goddess golden ale, ipa, a cider. Like the DIS most, the other 2 also good. Free seating. Great place. Only complain is the food take a bit time to get.
We just had the best experience at the brewery! They had delicious beer and were able to head down to the chicken coop while we enjoyed the beers. Emma and the other lady, who we didn't catch her name was absolutely fabulous. They made our entire experience! Definitely recommend!!
