First of all, I have absolutely nothing against the food. It arrived promptly after ordered and it was good (really, really good in the case of the desserts), with big portions and reasonably priced. The problem was the very slow service. While the service was nice and polite, it happened to be terribly slow. It took over 10 minutes to ask what we wanted to order (ok), when we finished the mains, it took over 15 minutes to take away the plates, (at this point with only 6 tables occupied, and three people doing the bar and servicing). Not only that, the waiter didn't ask if we wanted to order a dessert or something else, so it took another 10 minutes before we could ask for the menu, another...
We've been wanting to try this restaurant for some time we ordered 2 dishes, one with lamb and minced meat skewer and other with chicken and minced meat, with a special sauce, as my wife doesn't like lamb. However the minced meat was also (or at least included) lamb... so no luck there Also the dishes were quite similar: 2 skewers, a huge pile of rice and, for the one with the sauce, a cup with sauce, on the side... At the end we payed 45€ for 2 dishes and 2 drinks, and my wife only had half of hers... On the other hand the food was OK if you like lamb, as I do, but for the price I was expecting a bit more
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Persia. The food was fantastic. We spent a wonderful evening as a family sitting in the beer garden and enjoying the great food, sharing a large platter as a starter, followed by generous portions of mains. It was all very tasty.
