Went with our family for the first time with high expectations after hearing nothing but great things. When we were sat we waited for 10+ mins before our server arrived who then couldn’t recommend a lot of things bc “he doesn’t really like Italian food”. We ordered two bottles of wine and a martini that took 30 minutes to get. He forgot which wine we ordered as well. We then ordered toasted rav and cheese bread that showed up cold over an hour in to our visit. After two hours our food showed up and of course half of our entrees were cold. The server didn’t seem to care, was inattentive and didn’t offer to correct the situation just said sorry and ran off leaving us with the bill. I understan...
Old school Italian. Not some shiny perfect chain, original Italian. The kind of place where the same people and their families have been eating for 50 years. The dinners are great. They come with the main course plus two sides such as spaghetti or pizza or spinach or whatever, you get it. This matches anything that St Louis has to offer in Italian food, plus it was these folks who migrated to St louis at some point...it all starts here! I would not go anyplace else!
Service was good, but the food was average. Spinach Artichoke dip was pretty good and the Round the World Pizza wasn’t good at all. The name “round the world” sounded delicious but it was nothing more than a pizza with each slice containing one different ingredient. Mushroom on one, pepperoni on another, onion on another, and so forth. The end product looked like it was prepared by a hungry adolescent for a quick afternoon after school snack. It was weird!
They took FOREVER to even greet us at our table. Meanwhile we watched a waiter try to pick up a couple of college girls instead of working. But once we FINALLY got our order taken, it was prepared quickly. Food was mediocre at best. Portions were semi-small. Overall quality was just, not great. Unfortunate.

I was there for the Celebration of Life after my father’s funeral. My cousins I ordered a few appetizers they were delicious! The stuffed mushrooms were the best! Too bad there isn’t a location in Clarksville, TN, I’d be a regular. I don’t go back to Memphis unless I really have to.Food: 5/5
I enjoyed my food and visit today. I have lived five minutes away for my whole life but visited today for the first time. Much larger restaurant than I thought, right parking. But good food and attentive staff.Parking: Good lot, but just tight in and out in drive.
I 1st went to Pete Sam's, in the early 60s with my parents. Been going back every since. Have taken my children and grandchildren also. We all love the restaurant. The food is always awesome, the service is great. It's definitely a Memphis landmark.Food: 5/5
I have been a couple times and each time it never fails. I absolutely love all the food and the service has always been super nice.
