Our son (who lives in Lower Greenville) recommended us to visit this unique converted gas station restaurant. There was no visible signage and it seems to represent a locally reserve word of mouth location. We entered into the side black door to discover this minimalist, eclectic vibe of interior. We love this style and atmosphere. We were pleasantly impressed by the food and service.Nicole was our primary waiter. We did not bring our own wine but, received recommendations where to buy a bottle nearby. To our surprise, here comes the Champagne bucket to place our wine in. We have traveled and been to many restaurants, this is truly a service driven venue with food knowledgeable waiters dedic...

Petra 's recent transformation from a pop-up eatery to a full-fledged restaurant left me thoroughly impressed.Let 's kick things off by acknowledging the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. These servers are true food enthusiasts, and not only did they offer excellent recommendations, but we were also treated to a couple of complimentary dishes. The ambiance strikes a harmonious balance between rustic and contemporary, reflecting the unique fusion of locally sourced, fresh ingredients and on-site butchery. Very 'earthy '.Petra serves those kinds of dishes that require a few bites to sink in and to fully appreciate. With their seasonal menu changes, you can 't really predict what you '...

I was a bar guest recently at Petra and the Beast for a girl's night dinner. We arrived earlier in the evening on a Friday at 5:30, and were greeted brightly by miss Mimi at the door. Chris and Cullen are the bartenders who exude graciousness, whit, hilarity, and some really-really-fast hands...on one of the first nights go their buzzing opening week. The entire team helped give guidance and enthusiastic recommendations. (One of my group had an allergy to habanero peppers, that they carefully attended to. The drinks were balanced and quaffable. The Tea Braised Pig Tails, Pork Dumplings with pickled Cloud Fungus, Farfalle with summer peppers, were our top choices for the evening and gave us th...

I think we could be called Chef Misti groupies… we follow her around town from Oak Cliff to being regulars at Petra to her creative pop ups like Rainbow Cat and we chase her down at Chef for Farmers. There is a reason why… she’s a straight up culinary bad a . Everything is always inventive, deliciously fermented, locally sourced and Misti fied.We couldn’t be more pleased about this new space it’s beautiful and tastefully done while keeping in spirit with her love of bones and Maneki neko cats.Really proud of how far Misti has risen and looking forward to the ingenious things to come. Kudos, Chef! This was so well deserved. Réservez une table maintenant

First off the server was amazing. She had details about every dish and explained everything very thorough. First the pig tale and the pate on the charcuterie were amazing. We ordered more than half of the menu. I will give it a 4 for the value. After dinner we agreed 25% of dishes were amazing. Half of them were just ok and 25% were not good anf that included the desserts. We had both and both were just really dry and had way too many ingredients going on. For the value I give it a 4. For the actual food I would say it was 3.5-4.

My girlfriend and I came to Petra on a causal Thursday date night, and we really enjoyed our experience! The atmosphere, the time in between courses, the taste of the food, and the service of everyone in the restaurant was great. Kalvin guided us through the menu while being very personable throughout the evening. Solid dude. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of each dish from snacks to entrees to dessert. I recommend giving this place a try. With a rotating menu, we plan on being back to try out some new flavors.

Our server Kalvin was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, gladly answering all of our questions as we navigated the menu’s diverse offerings. I had a positively wonderful time at Petra and the Beast! The food is bold and experimental, yet extremely satisfying. Wonderful chic environment, excellent staff and service. Josh stood out as an especially knowledgeable, patient, and charming server. 10/10 Réservez une table maintenant

For food reimagined, pickled brined and toasted, this is the place. Price fixed, Ywo seatings and hard to get. But when you do, it is very memorable!
