What a great experience I had at this restaurant! I booked a table on the Cafe F. for two on the terrace for a warm Friday night. When we arrived I was happy to know that our table was amazing, right on the edge of the terrace so we had the wonderful view on the lake without any obstacles. The service was outstanding. Really nice waiters, friendly and discrete. It was difficult to know what to order since everything seemed so tasty. I went for the focaccia with shrimps and the raviolli with morille and champignon de Paris. My husband chose the tartare de dorade and the 36h cooked pork. We were both very happy with our choices. The terrace was not open yet but also a great view from inside the restaurant. It is a bit pricey (260 CHF for lunch for 2, with starter, entree, dessert, glass of wine, coffee), but the quality and setting are mostly worth it. The starters and mains were excellent (and not too rich/heavy); the desserts a little bit disappointing. The staff were adequate but could give some improved personal attention, for a restaurant of this standing. Sometimes they appeared to be a bit condescending. When we left, no one handed us our coats, we needed to grab them ourselves.

We were visiting our daughter and her family. We found Le Floris by accidents as all the restaurants in Hermance were shut. The setting was great with a big window and terrace overlooking the Lake. We all chose the three course lunch menu. This was a vegetable tart, duck breast and rum baba. hey were all beautifully presented and delicious. A local Gamay accompanied the meal and was excellent. Our granddaughter had local fried fish and chips.

If you're planning to visit the swiss alps no doubt that you should visit the lenkerhof at the LENK. And if you want to make the perfect journey, start from MONTREUX and travel from this beautiful place along Geneva's lake to la LENK with the GOLDENPASS railway. It's fabulous. Once arrived the Lenkerhof will send you their limo. You'll be in heaven.
