I have bad memories of Pho Hung, a broth just full of MSG. I don 't mind MSG here and there but when they use so much you know that the flavour profile of the broth is lacking. A revisit was in order, mostly because everyone wanted something different. Friend 's broken rice was missing the steamed egg cake, I guess they just don 't do it here. Welcome to our Springvale blitz (Part 1 of 7)! We kicked off our exploration of Springvale on an early Saturday morning at Pho Hung. We were seated promptly and noticed that the menu was displayed on the wall, eliminating the need for messy or worn-out menus. We opted for the beef special and the chicken and beef combination with spicy soup (for an additional 50 cents). The table was clean and stocked with necessary condiments. Our pho dishes arrived without delay and were generously portioned with fresh bean sprouts on the side. The broth was flavorful and we were pleased to find no negative effects from MSG. Points for: amazing pho <br/ <br/ Pho Hung is the only other place I go to for pho in Springvale it's still very busy but usually you don’t have to wait long (if at all).<br/ <br/ Pho comes out super quick one of the differences I like here is that when you get the combination special, you also get the round beef sausage, young chicken eggs, and whole liver pieces. <br/ <br/ The liver is so good it's soft, crumbly, irony and perfect when you chase it with soup.<br/ <br/ Very cheap at $11 for a regular, and that's all I expect from an awesome cheap and cheerful restaurant!
Our favourite place for pho in Springvale! We are here atleast every month. The portion sizes are large enough that depending on how hungry you are, you can share a large between two for less than $14.<br/ <br/ This place is always busy which shows how popular if it's. The restaurant's layout is simple, cozy, and a bit noisy. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered rare beef and beef ball pho, and it arrived quickly. The meal was enjoyable at first but had a strange aftertaste towards the end. It might have been something I added to it. Overall, I would recommend this place.
