I don't normally write a bad review purely because of service, but I have to make an exception due to the way the manager handled my complaint. We ordered two margherita pizzas, and one of them came undercooked - it looked paler than the other and when I tried a first bite it tasted like uncooked bread dough. I discretely called the manager over and mentioned the issue. He was immediately defensive saying that this is how it's traditionally made, that it cooks in 90 secs, etc. I say I am Italian and I know the taste of uncooked dough, I have made undercooked pizza myself. He says: I can put it back in the oven if you like it crispy, but it may burn. I say: I think you should make another one...
My daughter and I went in expecting good pizza, and we were not disappointed. The Vegano Pizza was delicious (as was the Margherita pizza we had at the Cavendish location). The caprese salad was also excellent. But what has made us into eternally loyal customers was the service. We had come in with a big problem on our hands: I had forgotten my drivers license in the US and thus couldn't rent a car, we had taken a bus from Halifax to Charlottetown, and to get around PEI we were going to have to take very pricey taxis everywhere. But when the staff heard of our dilemma, they rallied to find us rides for where we needed to go, and one server became our PEI guardian angel. The NICEST people in...
We ordered two pizzas to share for our family of 4. There was a mix up with our order and another table. They generously gave us the wrong pizza on the house and promptly brought us the other pizza we had ordered. Initially I thought we would have too much and leave with left overs. Everything was so good that we managed to eat everything! Excellent service and nice atmosphere. If you want a seafood break, this is the best place to go in Charlottetown.
I travel to Italy a lot and adore Neapolitan pizza, which is a rarity in the U.S. and Canada. I found this place totally by accident when my tour bus went by it. Perfect crust, perfect amount of tomato sauce and cheese. The staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant has ambiance. Prices are reasonable. Great cocktails. What else can I say. By the way, I was in Charlottetown four days and ate here three times. Réservez une table maintenant
Yummy wood fired pizza with a great ambiance. The restaurant can get quite busy. We got in early but by the time the food arrived, there was a long line up of folks waiting to be seated. The service is friendly, professional and swift with a lot of attention to detail. Amazing selection of local beers. We also the tried the black bean soup which was delicious. Would love to have a Piatto in Toronto.
Sat outside as it was a nice evening and there was a 20 minute wait for a table inside. Myself and 2 friends had different pizzas and we all enjoyed them. The price was reasonable but the service was poor. I realise they were busy but it was the height of summer so surely they should account for this. A couple with 2 children at the table next to us gave up waiting and left.
